 FF and FS Series
The Surfaceigniter family of hot surface igniters is the latest refinement of the product originally produced in 1969. Today's igniter combines longer usable life and less aging, lower power consumption, and superior gas lighting ability.
The FF and FS families of igniters offer the industry's only full-sized 120-volt cylindrical igniter. This design is particularly popular for sealed combustion systems and hard-to-fit applications where igniter footprints need to be a minimum but gas lighting ability needs to be at its maximum.
Made of the same high quality silicon carbide as our other igniters, the increased life and strength of our FF and FS igniters are the result of our unique reaction bonding process, which produces a higher density silicon carbide. This higher density reduces the extent of internal oxidation - a cause of igniter aging and failure. Our manufacturing process and efficient double helix design enables the Surfaceigniter to draw less current, thereby operating at lower temperatures and lasting longer than competitive 120-volt igniters.
